I worked for Family Dollar three years and they have security cameras mounted all over the stores....cameras that are NOT monitored by anyone...and when someone does review the footage of these cameras.. it's mainly used against the Family Dollar employees caught stealing.

Family Dollar is a shoplifter's haven....women with "huge" purses slung over their shoulder are the worst while other people load up baskets and run out the door. The message you'll hear broadcast over the intercom is a freaking joke..."This store is monitored for your security and protection."

I gotta question..let's say your staff member was stealing each day or every other day for like 4 to 5 days right? Now no staff, customer or you noticed at all right?

And that shoplifting staff member stops cold turkey after the 4 to 5 days is up right?

And you finally check the cameras finding out that the shoplifting staff member only stole under a $100 or lower before going cold turkey right? What would you do as the manager or supervisor???

Terrible that people will steal, even when no one is looking. Where is the morality?

Is it moral that some people can’t afford their basic needs to be met?Unemployment at 20%. Minimum can’t pay rent for a 2bed apartment anywhere in the US.Stealing isn’t immoral. Allowing people to go hungry is.Only in a dystopia would someone say stealing is immoral.

Please try to read this record.

What in the world does " t soddy dasiey record" mean?

Also "call police on them for Crismon"

Get a 3rd grader to help you write.

This is terrible writing. Everyone makes typos but this is abysmal!

They don’t know how to use the cameras to investigate things properly. They see what they want to see and that’s it.

I would have to contact LP or it would be my job as well. No employee should be stealing.

But they do and they justify their actions with moronic statements like I can’t afford it or they make so many millions why shouldn’t I steal.

The reality is that it’s hard to live a virtuous life. Some people do it better then others.
