I tried to return a cell phone that did not work with my SIM card. There was nothing wrong with it at all, and when I got into the store, the store manager looked at me, threw her arms up and said, 'Well there ain't nothing I can help you with,' in the most unprofessional way possible. She was rude, sarcastic, and had a smile on her face when she said it! I went home with the same phone, looked up your guys' policy, and took it back to the store. She wanted to argue, and I showed her the policy. Then, she snatched a new phone out of the box, tapping really hard on the computer, and slapping the stuff in and out of the bag trying to finish the sale. When she gave me my receipt for the return, she wrote 'damage' as the reason for the return, but in no way, shape, or form was the phone I returned damaged. You wouldn't have even known I opened it if I hadn't had to cut the sticker.

Annamarie, the store manager at the Family Dollar, 1501 West 2nd Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, makes me feel uncomfortable stepping foot in the store, because I refuse to tolerate her rudeness and meanness when she has to do her job. I've never been ugly or rude in there and I spend a lot of money there; but with me not being able to get this refund so far, I had to use my grocery money. So, I have a phone I cannot use and had to go out and buy another phone, which is about $150 I did not have.

Like everyone else, I live paycheck to paycheck, struggling to make ends meet, and I don't even know how I'm going to make it this week feeding my family because I had to spend so much money. Please tell me there is something Family Dollar can do because I'm overly stressed and I feel like I've been wronged. I feel like she should be coached or written up for her unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate behavior. On top of everything, the store looks terrible and there's nothing ever in stock because they don't take it out of the back room.

I went to return my merchandise and get an adjustment in a price they charged me full price but it was supposed to be on sale. When I got home I realized they charged full price not sale price on Easter stuff it was after Easter when I got it.

I asked her she was very nasty and rude I guess because I interrupted her personal phone call when I came in. She was at register talking on phone wich I thought was very rude. I told her there was a sign Scand I asked the girl when I bought the stuff I made sure it was all on sale she said yes. Your manager told me no way.

I told her to get off the phone and talk to me the customer she to whoever she was talking to I am dealing with one of my *** customers she didnt think I heard but I did. I have worked with the public for over 25 years if ever spoke like that to anyone I would be fired in a second I cant believe she is a manager well she says was I dont know about that she really needs know how to talk to people and needs new training. I would like to be contacted about your employer she would not give me her name I do know what she looks like and when I was there date and time and her register she was on.

She had some nerve calling me that name I have never been more humiliated in front of other customers too.

You need to take your own advice and treat others as you would like to be treated. You have nerve to enter a business and interrupt an employee on the phone.

How absolutely rude of you to tell the employee to get off the phone. You claim it was a personal call but you don't know that. It was most likely a customer or vendor. Please take a grownup with you next time, so they can admonish you when you act with such ignorance towards another human being.

Be more polite! I don't blame her for not giving her name.

There are a lot of lunatics in the world, a lot of crazy customers who would just blast your name all over the internet and make up lies. They may potentially stalk you or try to harm you.

I was a assistant manager for Family Dollar at Rudisill and Broadway location in Fort Wayne Indiana I Not only was bullied harass discriminated and retaliated against when I got a hold of the quote on quote Integrity matters where there's no fear of retaliation hotline which cause exactly that my manager refused to listen to me whenever I try to mention the sexual harassment on top of the discrimination and everything made from not only him but the coworkers but I was forced to sign a document or a write-up a final write-up I had no idea of any other write-up so I have not signed any other write-up I have never received a write-up in any job that I've ever worked until after I started trying to call HR about the situations that have been going on I worked almost a 15 hour shift during a remodel from 3:00 p.m. as the one assistant manager left early leaving the remodel crew by themselves all the way up until 8:30 a.m. without a break I have only taken about six breaks Within the three or four months I work there since June 14th not only that but it was brought to the manager's attention that one of the co-workers was leaving work to go by *** and would be gone for hours at a time they also know or knew that this coworker was smoking it in the store building he also knew that many other employees including himself was taking damaged items and putting them in their vehicles or taking them home some not having been even damaged and nothing was done about that there was screaming and cussing going on in the store while open which nothing was done about but when I was left alone with medical conditions in which I was not able to be in a store by myself and I was on the phone with HR and my district manager a customer and an employee supposedly both twisted my words around to explain that I headset that this manager said it was okay for the associate I previously mentioned was allowed to stay in the store after hours and sleep there when the store was closed now I did not want to go this route and I loved working for the store besides the management but I'm going to start taking legal action if I cannot get a hold of anybody I apologize but not only did I receive psychological trauma to where I was afraid on anything I did because they would use it against me I was afraid to leave my bag around anyone because I found my stuff scattered across the floor and I've had things stolen Not only was I afraid to say anything to anyone but it caused me complete and utter distrust in anyone higher up so between the discrimination and the illegal activities and everything taken against me as retaliation with the last 2 weeks especially not even including on when I first started working here I will pursue to file charges if actions are not taken for how they have wronged and did me there were times I was stuck on register the whole entire shift yes I know that register is one of my assigned duties but with my medical conditions which everyone knew about and that I have mentioned on multiple occasions if I have to use the restroom I cannot just wait I have to go and I'm not about to leave up front and use a restroom when my coworker is nowhere to be found even though I had messaged them and said and explained I had to use a restroom I was forced to hold it for over 2 hours which caused more health conditions and issues the way that I was treated since I got into the store and how many times I have expressed my concerns I can't stress enough that I somehow will find a way to press charges the hostile environment along with how they environment is around and the mess and the safety issues especially here recently OSHA will also be getting involved if I cannot talk to someone from corporate about the situation I am not the only employee that has been harassed and bullied out of the company from this specific store and location and team I have over 100 screenshots of harassment bullying inconsideration to disabilities on top of inconsideration to an employee psyche and mental health the photos below attached are the safety hazards that we have had to work in multiple times I apparently didn't have enough characters to say everything I wanted as a solution I want closure that this will never happen again to anyone else I want closure that all the psychological trauma on top of how I was treated to stop I want to be able to call HR and not risk what I had to go through what would I like to get I would but I would like is for corporate to call me someone higher up than HR someone higher up then district manager someone higher up the manager someone that I know I can trust to get something done about a situation what I want is for a company to take employers concerns seriously I want to be able to call HR and not worry about the whole world Crashing Down because as this whole situation panned out I became suicidal I wasn't going to because my kids and my family are more important but they're bullying and their abuse and their hostile environment cause me more mental health issues than I had previously now what I want is my rights as a human being on top of an employee or having been an employee compensation for how it destroyed my family life my mental state everything in my life has crashed because of this the actual address as I couldn't find it in the list is

Yes Family Dollar store is as bad as an employer can get. I have worked there and all they want is for you to do twice as much work as you get paid for.

But then they close when nobody will work. Because these managers aren't going to do it.

They should hire robots to do the work as a human. But I realize that would cost way more than what these *** stores are willing to pay.

I went to Family Dollar on my lunch break and grabbed some items. I grabbed cat food 22 pound bag Febreze unstoppable fabric spray, Mr.

clean with Febreze multipurpose cleaner, Glade vanilla scented plug-in pack four zuru x shot five dollar reloadable foam dart guns and extra foam darts and a $5 bug capturing kit. While in the exit I dropped some of the items and had to rearrange how I was carrying the items. When I got home, I realized I was missing one of the dart guns and attempted twice to outreach the store to see if they saw it in the doorway/entrance way where I dropped the items. Two call waiting on hold 3 min with no successful outreach.

I came straight after work with my receipt and explained in hopes they would have it and/or be able to give it to me or allow me to grab another one and was denied. I requested to speak with the manager who was not in and then request to just review the video footage to see how I was missing the item and was denied. I explained my multiple attempts to outreach with no success and was informed no one hears the calls because the phone is I. The back.

What is the point in having the option to speak with a store clerk if the reality is you cant! If I was allotted the opportunity to speak with someone in the expedited manner I attempted, I may have been able to attain this item instead of being required to purchase another one! I am requesting my $5 refund due to lack of effect communication and resolve for customer matters. Yes, its only $5.

But it is $5 of my hard earned money! I also do not understand how a company as large as Family Dollar does not have a manager on duty or some form of chain of command when the manager is unavailable. I am attaching both receipts for documentation purposes.

I look forward to hearing from some one and resolving this matter. Thank you for your time and understanding.

Called the store again this morning and was explained my situation to which the manager told me that they don't do refunds on prepaid phone cards to which they're wrong again and this is the store manager they're clearly not teaching proper policy or proper customer service for that matter mind you I had receipt in hand

There was a sign that said, 'Ask cashier if you want cash back.' I tried to talk to the cashier, but she was on her phone. Every time I go into that store, she is on her phone.

So, I went ahead and selected cash back. Then, once she approved the sale and closed the drawer, she stated, 'I can't give you the cash back.' When I tried to ask her why, she responded with an attitude, 'I'm going on break.' She proceeded to the door and went on break. Another lady explained that the store didn't have the money to give me cash back. If that was the case, I attempted it twice and the original cashier said nothing.

Then, I was told to take it up with corporate. I lodged a complaint online with Family Dollar. I still have yet to receive a response.

They owe me 25 dollars. I just want my money back and the fee for the transaction.

I agree if she is on the phone with a customer, but it seems like she is on a personal call. It is none of their business, but at the same time she is being paid to work, not paid to discuss what happened on Opera, or who is cheating on who. So they have the right to inform the company that while she is working, she is actually being paid to tell her friend that Johnny is cheating on Jenny with her best friend, while Jenny is cheating on Johnny with his brother.

I stopped at Family Dollar, Store # 11065 located at 130 22nd Street, Greeley CO. I GAVE THE EMPLOYEE $500 (Teresa) to put on my cash app.

She gave me the receipt and I was walking out the door when I realized I didnt receive a text from cash app verifying they received the funds. I went back to the employee and asked her why it wasnt showing up on my cash app. She said she didnt know because she scanned my cash app. The receipt she gave me said Merchandise 1 Item cash $500.00 and thats it.

She didnt know where it went and would not return my $500. After several hours of being told there was nothing they could do, we talked to the manager on the phone, Zach. He was extremely rude to me and told me to contact cash app. He explained to me they couldnt refund the $500 until the.

Next day. I explained I was from out of town, approximately 2 1/2 hours from home, and I put the $500 on cash app so that I could spend the night. Because they would not return my money I had to drive back to Wyoming without money for gas, etc. I made two transactions for $5.00 each to see what the receipt would say.

It went to Vanilla Direct Pay. I did contact Cash Apo who did an investigation and never received the $500. So Family Dollar not only screwed me out of my $500 but they screwed Cash App as well. I had the Greeley PD come and interview as well.

I had a friend with me and there were two employees working. I need to have this resolved as its been 5 days and now the manager will not even answer their phone at 970-324-****. I will speak with my attorney again on Monday at which time we will sue in court.

I have all of my receipts and will be happy to send copies upon request. Thank you, Katy Haggerty

It had to be the clerk that helped you or they have a very big problem with their system at Family Dollar. I suspect that the clerk put it in as merchandise rather than the proper way to apply it.

Seems the manager should have been able to see that problem with "merchandise" printed on the receipt though. I hate to assume but honestly sounds like her and the manager got the money. If you have all the receipts and information from Cash App though, it does seem like a criminal problem and not civil court.

If suing in civil court, make sure you include attorney fees. That's just lousy!

I believe also that the clerk and manager are in cahoots and ABSOLUTELY should be charged in criminal court. It has been 8 days and not a word from them. I did hear back from the BBB and so they have 6 more days to answer before the BBB and my lawyer go after them!

Hello, I am making a complaint about your employees. The two male employees were very rude and disrespectful.

As an employee working at the front counter, an employee should always have good customer service. But instead, he cursed me out because I asked for my receipt and he forgot to give me my money. Then the other male employee was disrespectful as well. I've been a customer of this store for over 25 years.

I've never experienced anything like this. I'll never go back to this store, nor will my family members. I hope that this matter will be looked into and consequences will be given because your employees are supposed to be representing Family Dollar. The store is always filthy, with items everywhere, and I've been to the same store previously.

The same two employees were cussing and arguing with each other right in front of the customers. The female employee, probably the manager, couldn't control them. The employee that was working the front counter walked out of the store and left the customer standing at the counter, and the female employee had to go outside and look for the employee. I just left because I felt like my life was in danger.

They should be fired. The store is located at 3500 Angle Rd, Fort Pierce, FL.

Don't put a sale price if, when the cashier checks you out and it doesn't give the sale price to you, the sale was for Doritos 2 for $7. When I paid, I was charged $4.25 each, which equals $8.50. Never received any feedback at all from Family Dollar. Could not reach them by phone nor anyone has responded to numerous emails sent

At 8:12 PM on April 16, 2024 I entered the Family Dollar store on sixth Avenue and Decatur Alabama. Upon entering the store, I was immediately told at the door that I had to leave my bag at the counter. I then explained to the worker that I was, there to do a return with the items that were in the bag, then she began to grab the bag from me. I explained to her that I would take the products out of the bag myself. I have taking the products out of the bag, she pretended to scan the receipt. She then said that the receipt could not scan therefore I couldnt do the return. I told her that she could key in the numbers from the receipt, then she stated she couldnt see the numbers. I explained to her that I would hold the receipt while she would raise the scanner for it to scan. She insisted it was not going to scan, but it did. After scanning the receipts and doing the return, she then took the money laid on the counter and walked away. I asked for her name and she replied, Morgan Phillips then explained that she was very unprofessional when I walked in the door as well as leaving the money from the return, on the counter. Morgan walked from the front of the store went to the back other store and turned the lights off at 8:22 PM, then made a phone call on I speaker and began to tell that I asked her name and stated that I didnt care for the way I had treated, I then heard the person on the other line ask where is she now, Morgan replied she still here. I walked towards the candy aisle and didnt see what I was looking for then to a display in the middle of the aisle, which phad , oral products. Grabbed two brushes, toothpaste, and mouthwash. At this point, I went to the next aisle, which had houseware then to a display of socks. At this time, a heavyset black woman with pajamas and a skull hat wreaking the smell of marijuana walked on the aisle and stood behind me, asking are these new outfits that we just got in? Morgan replied, which outfits are you talking about? The then the heavy set woman stated these new legend outfits. The heavyset woman walked around the corner and yelled. this is the *** reason we dont let *** come in here with big bags because they come in here and take our *** The heavyset woman circled back around to my aisle and yelled you need to hurry up because we close! I looked at my watch and stated I'm aware you guys are about to close because its 845. The black heavyset lady yelled nawh we closing now so you need to come on up to the front. I took my items out to the front and put them on the counter, but my toothbrushes did not ring up. I told Morgan Phillips, while shes ringing up other items, I was going to run to get the Colgate toothbrushes , which were located on middle display behind me. As I was grabbing the toothbrushes, the heavyset black woman yelled, I told you to bring your *** home up out of here, the *** store is closed!

Then stated I was just grabbing other toothbrushes since they didnt ring up. Heavy set black woman replied, if you would been looking in the right place, then you couldve found the toothbrushes against the wall!

After being treated in such a disrespectful manner, then said I didnt want any thing at all out of the store. At this point, the black heavyset woman got extremely angry, walked over to me and shoved me with her chest and said, get the *** out of my *** store!

Begin walking towards the door as she showed me again. Finally I was able to get to my cell phone to start recording.

This was the most horrific experience that I have ever had! I was/ am very fearful for my life. I knew with every fiber of my being that I was about to be killed! This woman was not only on marijuana which I could smell, but appeared to have been on some other drugs. She turned into a beast.

I am sending this letter along with an attachment of the video. I am also in the process of pressing charges against this individual that works for your company as a manager.

My life was threatened and I hold Family Dollar accountable for your managers actions
