I purchased a GO2bank Visa card. Family Dollar made a note of the purchase and included my license number (for security reasons and to protect my GO2bank purchase).
When I needed to retrieve that information because I lost my card, the cashier looked into the list and found the box and said someone turned it in. But the local manager said someone claimed the card, but he would not let me retrieve the card number from his ledger of Visa card purchases.

Went in Family Dollar saw 2 cardboard displays, one for pet treats and another for Gain laundry products. The display clearly showed any 2 items for $8.
When items failed to ring up correctly, I questioned the cashier, who rolled his eyes and said, 'Oh well.' I asked for management and said they need to honor their displays. They kept me in the store forever after both assistant managers refused to honor the prices and said he couldn't override it. It would have to be a manager. I'd have to come back tomorrow.
Then the phone rings. It's the manager. They're talking all in Spanish about the prices, trying to make excuses to decide I needed a coupon, and clearly nowhere on the display mentioned anything about a coupon. I got so frustrated.
I told them to just keep my whole order. I wanted nothing and walked out.
I was treated like I did something wrong. They were so rude to me when all I did was want them to honor the prices as posted.

The store manager Kia shows discrimination with hiring employees. You have to be gay/lesbian/stud to work in the Family Dollar 3190 Mercer University.
She allows her employees to close at 9:30 PM when the sign says 10 PM. She allows her employees to smoke weed and cigarettes in front of the store.
She allows her cashier to walk off and let someone else ring a customer up if she doesn't like them. Kia is a very bad store manager and makes poor decisions with running the store.

He stepped aside, and I gave the cashier my 80.00 and left. The money never made it to my account. My bank did an investigation and tracked the money, and it was deposited on a person's GA Power bill. I have never had an account with GA Power.
I went back to Family Dollar several times only to be yelled at and cursed at. The manager would not even look into it.
This past visit, I took proof from my bank, and still, they refused to look at it. I had to call the police and report it to them.

Unless I start getting some money I have lost there and start getting treated with more respect how I treat their employees then I am better off staying away. But my mom and my aunt love this store well what it use to be so sometimes it I hard to avoid.
They say that they don't allow coupon stacking, which they do. They have favoritism and a lot of false advertising. They’re very disrespectful; like today, when I went in there trying to return something, the woman treated me like I was a piece of crap. She was acting like I did something wrong while trying to return this hair product that I didn't even open.
She was trying to open the box to see if I actually took the shot, and then I asked her for something else.
She asked for my ID and stared at my ID for at least four minutes, pretending as if I would’ve given her a fake ID. It was really awful and discriminatory.

Employees are not trust worthy.I will not return
No one never answered customer service and family dialogue, and it is sad. People are spending thousands of dollars in their stores every day and they were not helpful and they are not good consumer.

This Family Dollar on Melton Road in Gary, Indiana, is never open on time in the mornings. Also, the staff is really nasty to customers, and managers tell customers they can't open the door without a cashier.
If they are the manager, can't they run the register? This store always has U-bolts in the aisle where customers can barely shop. Staff smell like marijuana; it's ridiculous.

OK so my order was for $124 taken out of my account. Then I'm told I have to log in for the next 7 days and get some of the $100 reimbursed each day. As it turns out I end up with $14.35 in credit. I try to use it and find out I have to place a minimum order of $20.

This seems to be an ongoing problem in every store. The good thing is that nowadays there are so many "discount" places around the Gvl/Sptg area to shop in, just keep a growing list of places like this and don't shop there anymore.
ALSO, with the availability of corporate addresses and CEO's email addresses, we should all be sending messages or LETTERS to them explaining exactly what happened in the store--which store--and the person's name that said they couldn't adjust the price to the correct one. I give credit to the person who wrote the original complaint here and leaving all of the stuff she was planning to get!
I didn’t fake the picture that’s what was posted and that’s what should’ve been honored. Whatever happened to the customers always right especially when it’s obvious I was right.
